This is an idealistic interpretation. Look at how China has historically positioned itself both with and against communist struggles abroad. What's the point in broadly asserting "China loves communists?" China is a country or a government, not a person. It has often made decisions, rightly or wrongly, to strengthen itself at the expense of other socialist movements.
At least officially, China has a policy against exporting revolution, unlike the Soviet Union. Their position appears to be to support communist movements once they have demonstrated they're got what it takes, rather than waste billions and generate hostility by blindly support the thousands of communist parties worldwide.
So don't expect a handout from China. It won't come.
